Get Help with Your College Expenses

Would you like to get help paying for college? If so, the John Tyler Community College Foundation has a program just for you! Each year, the Foundation awards scholarships to new, as well as continuing Tyler students. Last year, more than 150 students received scholarships. This year, you could be one of those students.

To be considered for a Foundation scholarship, you must:

  • Complete the JTCC Foundation Scholarship Application for the 2016-17 academic year. A link to this online application may be found at www.jtcc.edu/scholarships. You only have to submit the online scholarship application once to be considered for all Foundation scholarships. 
  • Have in-state tuition status.
  • Have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
  • Be enrolled or planning to be enrolled in a certificate and/or degree program at John Tyler for the 2016-17 academic year. You must be officially enrolled in a major before scholarship funds will be disbursed (posted to your student account). 
  • Have a completed a 2016 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file at John Tyler before the scholarship deadline. For more information and for the FAFSA application, go to www.FAFSA.ed.gov. Note: When filling out your FAFSA application, enter JTCC’s school code of 004004.

If you are interested in being considered for a JTCC International Studies Scholarship for summer study abroad, your application must be submitted by March 15. For all other Tyler Foundation scholarships, the application deadline is April 15.
