Tyler’s Student Activities Office invites Tyler students, faculty and staff to participate in upcoming Black History Month events. On February 11, Charmaine Crowell-White comes to the Midlothian Campus where she will bring the story of Harriet Tubman to life. Her performance will take place at 12:30 p.m. in The Lynn Theatre (T Building). On February 12 at 12:30 p.m. in Hamel Hall room H109 (Midlothian Campus), there will be a screening of the documentary, “Blacking Up: Hip Hop’s Remix of Race and Identity,” followed by a discussion. On February 19 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Chester Campus (Nicholas Center, room N136) and on February 25 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Midlothian Campus (Hamel Hall, room H109), Student Activities will hold “Black History Month Trivia,” an activity where you can test your knowledge and learn new information.
