Do you love to write? Are you an artist? Then consider entering your work in John Tyler Community College’s 2019 Sherwood Forest Art and Literary Competition. The competition is currently accepting entries. There are four categories:

  • Art (including photography)
  • Fiction
  • Creative non-fiction
  • Poetry

The competition is open to all current Tyler students. Rules for each category may be found at www.jtcc.edu/sherwoodforest

Those who place first, second and third in the competition will have their work published in the Sherwood Forest Art and Literary Review, will receive a cash prize, and will be recognized at the college's Annual Awards Night Ceremony in April 2019. Honorable mentions may also be published if space is available.

To be considered for the competition, entries must be submitted electronically to Mike Gray, associate professor of English, at mgray@jtcc.edu by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019.

Each submission must include your Student ID number. Students may submit up to two entries total, one submission per category.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Gray at mgray@jtcc.edu or 804-594-1481.
