Business, welding, communications, mechanical engineering, music, information systems and human services. These are just a few of the career fields chosen by JTCC’s graduates. Nearly 1,200 students make up Tyler’s Class of 2017, and for each, the road to graduation was a personal journey. Tiffany Longest, a single mother, wanted a new career that would lead to a better life for her family. Marshall Maloney, a retired U.S. Marine, decided it was time to refocus his life and his career pathway. Marilyn Powell was ready to redefine retirement. These are just a few of the students who shared their stories as they excitedly approached Commencement Day. Meet them and some of the other members of the Class of 2017 on our Graduate Spotlight page.
