CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – The community is invited to take a comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games, as John Tyler Community College’s Theatre Program presents She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen. She Kills Monsters is the story of Agnes Evans, who decides to leave her childhood home after the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When she uncovers her sister’s Dungeons and Dragons notebook, Agnes suddenly finds herself immersed in an action-packed adventure set in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge.
There will be six performances of She Kills Monsters held at The Lynn Theatre in the T Building at Tyler’s Midlothian Campus (800 Charter Colony Parkway). The shows will be held Friday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m.; Friday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. The Box Office will open an hour prior to curtain, and the house will open 30 minutes before show time. Arrive early for the best seats. She Kills Monsters contains strong language and mild adult themes and is recommended for ages 13 and up.
