We have good news for parents and guardians who want their rising 4th – 12th graders to have the opportunity to explore the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and health care (STEM-H) in fun and interactive ways. There are still seats available in the many of the STEM-H camps and classes being offered at John Tyler Community College.
Rising 11th and 12th graders interested in learning about advanced manufacturing can delve into the world of precision machining through Tyler’s MAC 131 Precision Machining Lab I for High School Students.
High school students who enjoy computers can explore cybersecurity through Tyler’s IT Exploratory Camp, which just added an afternoon session due to high demand.
Younger learners have a wide variety of summer camp options through the Math Science Innovation Center’s offerings at Tyler this summer.
And, those interested in health-care fields can ask to be placed on the waiting list for Southside Health Education Foundation’s Health Career Explorers Camp.
