It’s the start of a new semester, and whether you are new to Tyler or a returning student, we have several resources that can help you as you navigate your first week of classes.
Welcome Tables and Assistance
If you get on campus and find you need help, go to a Welcome Table. Tyler’s faculty, staff and student ambassadors will be on hand Monday, January 11 and Tuesday, January 12 to answer your questions. At the Chester Campus, the Welcome Table will be set up in Moyar Hall, between M122 and the doors. At the Midlothian Campus, you will find the Welcome Table in the Administration Building near the Admissions and Records Office.
Extended Hours
If you need assistance with your class schedule, with paying tuition, with declaring a major, with applying for military benefits or more, don’t forget that our Admissions and Records Office, Advising Center, Business Office and Military and Veterans Education Office will have extended hours at both campuses. These offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 11 – Thursday, January 14.
Tyler Mobile App
Download Tyler’s Mobile app to your device, and you’ll have quick access to maps, your student account, your BlackBoard account, calendar, student e-mail, Library resources and much more. Information about the app, including links to the app stores may be found at www.jtcc.edu/mobile.
Online Students
If you’re an online student and need assistance, we are here for you. Our staff and faculty can help you by e-mail and over the phone. Many of our offices have pages on our web site that include e-mail addresses and phone numbers (such as Admissions and Records, Business Office, Advising Center, and Military and Veterans Education Office). You can also search for specific people and offices through our online faculty and staff directory.
