Many students enjoy the flexibility online classes provide, but others question whether online learning is a good fit for them. If you’re not sure if online learning is for you, then consider taking one of Tyler’s free, online orientation sessions. These five-day sessions are designed to introduce students to online and hybrid learning. During this orientation, you’ll learn about the characteristics of successful online learners; your responsibilities in an online or hybrid class; online communication skills and “netiquette;” library resources and services available to online students; and more. Plus, you’ll have a chance to participate in online discussions and submit assignments in Blackboard, the tool Tyler students use to access their online courses.
The next Introduction to Online and Hybrid Learning orientation sessions start January 18 and March 1.
