CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – As business and industry needs evolve, more and more careers are requiring some education beyond high school. John Tyler Community College can help. The College offers a wide array of majors designed to help students gain the skills and knowledge they need, whether they are starting on a path to a bachelor’s degree, preparing to enter the workforce, planning to start a new career, or seeking to advance their current career.
For those focused on honing their career skills, the College offers certificates that take as little as two semesters to complete; associate degrees that can be earned in two years; programs that lead to industry-recognized certifications; and hands-on learning in high-tech labs with cutting-edge simulators. Students interested in earning a bachelor’s degree can enter one of Tyler’s transfer programs, which generally cover the freshman and sophomore years of a bachelor’s degree. Tyler currently has guaranteed admissions agreements with more than 35 public and private institutions. A full list may be found at http://www.jtcc.edu/transfer.
