If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, then John Tyler Community College’s Modern Makers Open House is for you.
At Modern Makers, you can explore in-demand careers tied to the fields of science, technology, engineering, math and health care (STEM-H). Tour Tyler’s high-tech labs; see cutting-edge simulators in action; take part in hands-on activities; get information about industry-recognized certifications; and learn about the College’s diverse training opportunities and services. Area employers also will be on hand to discuss the need for qualified workers to fill jobs in the STEM-H fields.
The Modern Makers Open House will take place October 28 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Tyler’s Chester Campus. The event is divided into four tracks – information technology/engineering, manufacturing, health, and science – and each is filled with a variety of informative experiences. Since Modern Makers is an open house, you may join in at any time, stay within one track or explore activities in multiple tracks. Food trucks also will be on hand during the event.
