Remaining Angels and Volunteer Opportunities

Thanks to all of you who have already adopted an Angel this year.  Your generosity goes a long way in making a child's holiday special!  There are a few Angels left on the Chester tree and plenty of time to shop if you would like to adopt.  If you are on the Midlothian Campus you can adopt an Angel from the Chester tree and return the gifts to room E124 at Midlothian.  Just contact Lisa Kendrick at 594-1527 or lkendrick@jtcc.edu, if you are interested.

Would you would like to contribute, but don't like to shop?  We also accept cash only donations that will be used to shop for Angels that are not adopted.  Any remaining cash will go to the Salvation Army.  All gifts and donations are due to either Laurie Brown, A102 at Chester, or Lisa Kendrick, E124 at Midlothian, on Thursday, December 5.

We have scheduled two Tyler volunteer days with the Salvation Army.  This is a great opportunity to help out your community and work with other JTCC students, faculty and staff. The first opportunity will be on Thursday, December 12, at the Richmond Distribution Center located in the Michael & Sons Warehouse, 1407 Cummings Dr., Richmond 23220.  The second will be on Friday, December 13, at the Petersburg Distribution Center at 1228 S. West St., Petersburg, 23803.  Both will run from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

We ask all volunteers to please wear their Tyler T-shirt or sweatshirt and dress warmly and comfortably.  We will most likely be sorting and organizing gifts.

If you would like to volunteer or have any questions, please contact Lisa Kendrick at 594-1527 or lkendrick@jtcc.edu. Thank you again for supporting Angel Tree!
