Since 2000, faculty members at John Tyler Community College have been leading study abroad programs to Greece.  The College’s international education program is a great opportunity for Tyler faculty, staff and students, as well as local K-12 teachers, who can earn recertification points for college courses taken during the trip, to travel and learn.

All participants are required to enroll in at least one course offered during the trip, but the trip also includes plenty of time to experience the people and culture of Greece.

Courses offered are:
HIS 243 – The Ancient World (3 credits)
ENG 257 – Mythology (3 credits)
PHI 295 – Topics in Greek Philosophy (3 credits)

The summer 2014 trip to Greece is a very economical way to travel with faculty members who are experienced at navigating Greece and who have a deep appreciation and understanding of the country’s history and culture. With 32 or more paying participants, the price will be $3,252 per person.  Reserve your space by October 31 by making a refundable deposit $480.

Please share this fantastic opportunity widely with your students and with others in the community who may be interested.

More information can be found at http://www.jtcc.edu/internationaleducation or by contacting Dr. David M. Head, Professor of History, at dhead@jtcc.edu or 804-594-1485.
